Dear Roberta,

Participants in clinical trials can play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research. Today there are more than 20 investigational drugs for lupus in various phases of research. Through LFA’sCenter for Clinical Trials Education (CCTE), we strive to inform you of opportunities to learn more about clinical research participation and specific studies seeking participants in your community.

Currently, the MEDI 545 lupus study is seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research study of an investigational medication being evaluated for individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus. To find out more information, including the eligibility requirements for volunteer participants, please view this Study Spotlight.

Kind regards,
Leslie Hanrahan
