Hard Advocacy Work Pays Off for Lupus!The U.S. Senate just voted 85 to 7 to approve the $2 billion budget increase Lupus Research Alliance advocates requested for medical research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This increase of 5.4 percent would bring the budget for the NIH up to $39,084,000,000.

Hearst Foundations Awards Health Grant to Lupus Research AllianceThe Lupus Research Alliance is proud to once again be awarded the Health Grant from the Hearst Foundations. In the amount of $150,000, the Health Grant will help support two promising investigators relatively new to lupus who were recently awarded our Novel Research Grants, Drs. Andrea Knight and Vipin Kumar.
