Help Fund a Potential New Lupus Treatment

Lupus Foundation of America
Your gift will be matched!
Dear,
I have seen too many lives cut short by lupus. We need to do more.
That’s why I’m currently working with scientists across the country to launch the first novel phase II controlled study in the United States to evaluate mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy as a potential treatment for lupus. Soon, 81 people with lupus will be able to enroll at medical centers across the country.
The goal of the study is to determine if the immunosuppressive qualities of MSC therapy can offer a safe and more effective treatment for some of the most difficult cases of lupus.
This week only, you can help us achieve our goal—and have your gift doubled.

The Lupus Foundation of America’s National Board of Directors is matching your online gifts up to $50,000. With your support, we can raise $100,000 to fund this study for a potential treatment that could diminish lupus disease activity, prevent further damage to vital organs and minimize the need for other medications, like steroids, for people with moderate to severe lupus.
This study will help us better understand how mesenchymal stem cells work in lupus, and what benefit they may have for people battling lupus.
We need your support.
Your gift to the Lupus Foundation of America will ensure that our research is possible.
