Like many of you, I am dedicated to fighting for a life free of lupus. Today, more than 200 lupus activists from across the country are on Capitol Hill as a part of the Lupus Foundation of America’s National Policy Summit asking their Members of Congress to support lupus research funding and do more in the fight for better treatments and a cure.

I’m excited to announce that you can support our fellow lupus warriors in elevating lupus on the national health agenda by participating in virtual advocacy day!

It is critical that Congress understands the brutal impact of lupus, and today’s virtual advocacy efforts are an easy, yet very effective way to make our voices heard. The more people that share their stories with Members of Congress, the more likely they will be to join our cause.

Your elected officials want to hear from you! Take action by clicking HERE to access a customizable e-mail to send TODAY to your Senators and U.S. Representatives requesting they support policies that:

• advance the development of new treatments for lupus
• increase funding for lupus research and education 
• ensure access to affordable, quality health coverage and care

Show your support on social media! Engage with the Lupus Foundation of America’s Twitter and Facebook pages, add the lupus advocacy Facebook profile frame, and give support to the 200-plus lupus activists on the Hill using your social channels with the hashtag #LupusAdvocacy.
