Join the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation for a webinar with Sara Gorman
Tuesday, January 8, 2013, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm (EST)

Sara Gorman, author of Despite Lupus: Living Well with a Chronic Illness, will talk about how to effectively prepare for and manage your appointments, pointers that go well beyond “make a list of questions”. And you’ll hear, first-hand from a patient-author, how to avoid the pitfalls that might be preventing you from getting the most out of your appointments. The goal?  Effective appointments that equal effective treatment, every single time!

Diagnosed at 26, recently married, and in the midst of a thriving career, Sara was determined not to let a chronic illness dictate her plans for the future. She learned to make lifestyle changes to accommodate the illness, and eventually became an author, started a blog, and launched Sara Gorman’s Pillbags – fun, fashionable bags for medication.

Sara will provide practical advice based on her experience with lupus:
  • Learn how to prepare for doctor's appointments
  • Learn how to make the most of your doctor's appointments
  • Avoid pitfalls at doctor's appointments
  • Effective Appointments = Effective Treatment

So was Sara when she created a weekly pill organizer that was fun and stylish - and 5% of every Pillbag sold goes to a lupus charity.
In December 2012 and January 2013, the Lupus Research Institute will be the benficiary of Pillbag sales.
The Pillbag comes in bright, colorful fabrics and shiny, chic hardware.
